Best guide to San Onofre Camp site

The San Onofre Camp Site is located in San Clemente, California, along Old Pacific Highway 101, next to the breathtaking sandstone bluffs.

The San Onofre Bluffs Camp Site has 175 campsites nestled in the surrounding natural area. The campground is near trails that descend to the magnificent 3.5-mile stretch of sandy beach as well as paths that rise to the bluffs.

Each site comes with paved parking spaces, a grill, a table, and a fire ring. The park features cold outdoor showers, vault toilets, drinking water, and an RV dump station. Hookups are not available. Generators are permitted from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Dogs are allowed at the campsite; however, they must be leashed no longer than six feet when they are outside of your vehicle. Therefore, you can bring your pets along on two of the hiking trails and inside the campground, but not onto the beach or into any buildings.

Camping, kayaking, birdwatching, swimming, bicycling, surfing, sunbathing, and fishing are some of the well-known activities at San Onofre State Beach in California. San Onofre State Beach was created by Governor Ronald Reagan in 1971. The state beach has three distinct areas: the San Onofre Bluffs, the San Mateo Campground, and the San Onofre Surf Beach.
