Take a stroll around the shores of Lake Michigan to orient yourself. The Ferris wheel and a leisurely stroll are great activities at Navy Pier. The Lakefront Trail is ideal for riding, running, or just lounging by the lake.

My autumn vacation to Asheville was fantastic! As the month came to a conclusion, it was fantastic to witness the leaves begin to change while the weather was still warm.
There are several beautiful fall drives in Asheville, but my personal favorite is the Blue Ridge Parkway. This route passes through patches of mountain ash, witch hazel, and goldenrod wildflowers as it goes around some of the highest peaks in the area.
One of the longest and most colorful leaf seasons may be seen in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
I suggest going to Hendersonville, sometimes referred to as “Apple Alley,” which has delightful pumpkin patches, spiced cider, hot donuts, corn mazes, and seasonal apple orchards.
There are tons of great restaurants, hip pubs, live music venues, art galleries, and cultural events in the city itself, which makes it well worth a visit!
13. Charleston, South Carolina
Early autumn is a wonderful time to explore this stunning jewel, and Charleston never fails to wow me when I come.
In addition to mild weather and cheaper hotel prices, there are plenty of intriguing fall activities and events available, such the lively MOJA Arts Festival, the eerie Boone Hall Fright Nights, and the Magnolia Beauti-Fall Festival.
Not only are the sandy beaches still warm enough for leisurely strolls and wave splashing, but you should also check out the historic Netherworld First Theatre, the excellent Gibbes Museum of Arts, and the quirky Freshfields Village Cars & Coffee event, which blends unique shopping with classic cars!
In addition, I adored riding in a hot air balloon, seeing the atmospheric corn mazes, the picturesque seasonal farmers’ markets, and the picturesque Avenue of Oaks.
14. Dauphin Island, Alabama
This is a great option for a pleasant fall holiday, with temps this month averaging about thirty degrees.
It is home to a variety of aquatic creatures, such as the stunning, gregarious dolphins, as well as birds, which may be seen at the Audubon Bird Sanctuary in their natural habitat.
A few of my top attractions were the magnificent Dauphin Island Public Beach, which has soft sand, and the historic Fort Gaines, which has actual cannons, a blacksmith shop, medieval kitchens, and several tunnels.

The best time to visit Hawaii is between March and September when the weather is warm and rainfall is minimal. These perfect conditions allow you to fully experience Hawaii’s stunning turquoise waters and soft sandy beaches.
One of the most breathtaking spots in Hawaii is the rugged Na Pali Coast on the lush island of Kauai. With its dramatic cliffs, untouched beaches, rocky hiking trails, and fascinating archaeological sites, Na Pali offers some of the most beautiful views in the state. A trip here promises a unique and unforgettable vacation.
I chose to explore the coast by boat, but you can also opt for a scenic flight or, if you’re up for a challenge, hike the trails. Be aware, though—the hiking route is quite demanding!
For those who seek adventure, the journey to Hanakapiai Falls is worth the effort. This mesmerizing waterfall can be reached via several hiking trails, including the famous Hanakapiai Trail, offering a rewarding experience for those who make the trek.
17. Saugatuck – Douglas, Michigan
With just 850 people, this little lakeside community offers a laid-back beach, fantastic outdoor recreation, and a bustling art scene.
This location is a hidden treasure, in my opinion, and I heartily suggest it for a laid-back getaway. I adore this month’s warm, romantic atmosphere as well as the outdoor eating options, gorgeous art galleries, and the downtown area filled with boutique shops.
I recommend taking a look around the pristine Douglas Beach Park, the amiable Water Street Gallery, and the peaceful, sandy Oval Beach.
